Hydrodynamic specialist for the Offshore Wind segment
Knud E. Hansen A/S is expanding in the offshore sector and is looking for a hydrodynamic specialist, for our office in Helsingør, Denmark:
The candidate will typical be a member of a project team, where the following candidate skills it is expected:
- Knowledge within Sea-Keeping and DP software tools
- User of CFD tool
- Evaluation of hydrodynamic calculation reports.
- Evaluation of CFD results
- Evaluating standards and regulations
For the position
- The candidate should hold a BSc and/or MSc degree in marine engineering
- The successful candidate will provide extensive technical experience and knowledge in the offshore segment and be able to determine vessel motions and accelerations for handling Offshore Wind components offshore incl. related calculations. Focus will be on providing service and support to our Clients
- The candidate shall be able to fulfil our mission of providing our clients with top-quality engineering work, knowledge, innovation and cost improvements made through developments and design changes.
- Offshore Wind experience is preferable, and other offshore experience an advantage
- Minimum 4 years’ experience is expected.
- The candidate should be a team player and will be expected to work on several projects simultaneously.
- Foreign travel is to be expected according to the requirements of individual projects.
- The successful candidate is expected to reside near Helsingør Denmark, or be willing to relocate to take up the position.

For the positions
The successful candidate will provide extensive technical experience and knowledge about shipbuilding, detailed system design and calculations. Focus will be on providing service and support to our Clients (Ship Owners and Ship Yards) on Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering issues. The candidate shall be able to fulfill our mission of providing our clients with top-quality engineering work, knowledge and cost improvements made through developments and design changes.
Minimum 8-10 years’ experience from a similar position at a Naval Architect consultancy, Ship owner, Shipyard, Class etc.
The candidate should be a team player and will be expected to work on several projects simultaneously.

Marine/Structural Engineer for the Offshore Wind segment

The candidate will typical be a member of a project team, where the following candidate skills it is expected:
- Structural and mechanical design in AutoCad and 3D software tools
- Structural calculations
- Evaluation of calculation reports.
- Evaluation of FEM results
- Evaluation standards and regulations
For the position
- The candidate should hold a BSc and/or MSc degree in marine or structural engineering
- The successful candidate will provide extensive technical experience and knowledge in the offshore segment and be able to design detailed system for handling Offshore Wind components offshore incl. related calculations. Focus will be on providing service and support to our Clients
