New Engineering Software
Knud E. Hansen A/S is pleased to announce the recent
addition of two new software tools to our portfolio, helping us to maintain our
presence at the forefront of ship design and marine technology.
We have recently purchased Star-CCM+ software from STAR-CD-adapco,
a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) code which will be used internally at KEH
for optimizing, and evaluating existing and future ship designs, in order to
make the most applicable, efficient design possible for our customers as
environmental regulations continue to play a major role in the design process.
We have also recently purchased FEA PATRAN-NASTRAN, an FEA
(finite element analysis) modeling tool developed by MSC, used for advanced
structural design. This software will allow us to optimize structural design,
and lightweight, giving more flexibility in terms of space management and
materials, while optimizing deadweight capacity.
