The two RoRo freight ferries operated by Sweden’s Stena Line, the Dalian-constructed Stena Foreteller and Stena Forerunner, a Basic Design from KNUD E. HANSEN, are each set to undergo conversions that will increase their cargo capacities by 30%. Instead of the insertion of a new midbody, the increase will be achieved through the addition of an extra cargo deck.
KNUD E. HANSEN had carried out the design tender package for the Stena RoRo conversion. The conversion will be carried out in China at the China Merchants Jinling (Weihai) Shipyard.
