The vessel was designed and built by Scheepswerf De Hoop Lobith B.V. in the Netherlands for ABB Power Cables/Van der Stoel-Cable in the Netherlands, and it was delivered in March 1999. The vessel is state-of-the-art, fitted with advanced dynamic position systems and capable of carrying out a large variety of cable installations.
