The first of DFDS’ new mega Ro-Ro ships from the Jinling Shipyard in China is still under construction in the dock. However, now you can get a glimpse of the brave new future world. The company Knud E. Hansen doing the design of our Jinling Ro-Ro vessels on behalf of the shipyard has prepared this fantastic video showing how the ship will look like with water under its keel. Thank you to Knud E. Hansen and Jesper Aagesen for sending us the video.

As you know, DFDS has ordered five mega Ro-Ros that can each transport 450 trailers. With their unique ramp systems, they  are independent of ramps in port. This gives DFDS  a great flexibility to use them in the markets where they are needed the most – and to move them to other routes if markets change.

The ships will be delivered from 2019 onwards.
