Launched in 1965 as the Alexandr Pushkin, this 19,860 grt vessel was purchased by Orient Lines of the UK in 1993, renamed the Marco Polo, and KNUD E. HANSEN was commissioned to oversee a near total reconstruction at the Perama shipyard in Greece. She has sailed all over the world, and in 2013 is owned by the Greek-based Global Maritime and is currently under charter to a UK cruise company.
