Jinling Shipyard has delivered BELGIA SEAWAYS to DFDS. The 6,695-lanemetre super freighter is expected to leave China for the Mediterranean soon.
BELGIA SEAWAYS is a sister of EPHESUS SEAWAYS – built as GOTHIA SEAWAYS – and will equally be renamed prior to taking up service between Istanbul and Trieste for U.N. Ro-Ro/DFDS.
Four more ships of the same class will follow and are expected to be introduced in DFDS’s North Sea network. It is understood that the third ship in the series, due to be delivered in October, will be named HOLLANDIA SEAWAYS.
